the noobz changer does not require this. if you used it, do not run this
DO NOT! post the binaries anywhere else than on lan.st forums ! From The Readme : Code:
Usbhostfs Fix By Lan.st.
Proof Of Concept : Stapol;
Info From: Mathieulh;
Coders:
Idstorage Writer: Jas0nuk,Stapol;
Idstorage Dumper: The Unique Warrior (TUW);
Credits:
- Dark_Alex -> For His Downgrader that gave TA-082 PSP's another chance.
- Mathieulh -> For All The Info He gave us, and the help in the downgrader.
- Harleyg -> For the idstorage documentation and help in the downgrader.
- vb_master -> For eating Pizza while we where coding this.
- deuce > For His Fart.
Instructions:
- Just Copy The Contents of Binary/Dump To Your PSP.
- Load The Idstorage Dumper From Your PSP.
- Copy The 043.bin that the program dupmed to the memory stick root of The PSP that needs
its usbhostfs to be fixed
On the TA-082 Or any PSP wich you want to Fix its USBHOSTFS.
- Just Copy The Contents of Binary/Write To Your PSP
- Load The UsbHostfs-Fix From Your PSP.
Enjoy.
Best,
TUW
Use the dumper on a TA-079/081, untouched TA-082/086 Or any PSP with a Fixed USBHOSTFS.
or from attachments of this thread. THE PSP THAT MAKES YOU THE DUMP DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A 1.50 FW!, ANY FW IS SUPPORTED . BUT THE ID-STORAGE ADDRESS 0x043 HAS TO BE NON-CORRUPTED , BASICALLY IT HAS TO BE WEATHER A TA-79-81, OR A TA-082-86 THAT IT'S ID-STORAGE IS UNTOUCHED OR FIXED I'll Add a How To Use Usbhostfs in OE in some time. --->>> You Need Usbhostfs.prx (older version) And PSPLink.prx . Put Them In SEPLUGINS/ Make a text called : game.txt add these : Code:
ms0:/seplugins/psplink.prx ms0:/seplugins/usbhostfs.prx Download [USBHOSTFS-Fix(update).zip]; Enjoy. -Added a Fix to the detection of the corruption of usbhostfs. It's been tested and it worked back then. The porpuse of this was when the noobz downgrader and the pandroa never existed. If you're not sure what this is, or you have a /SLIM/ PSP: Don't USE THIS. REMEMBER Use this at your own RISK! But This won't brick your PSP as the key is already corrupted. ~Nima

I'll come in with a fix, I wasn't sure to use idStorage lookup from the first time . I'm talking to Math right now about it, fixing it asap.
Best, TUW

how does this work exactly? wouldn't it brick? isn't it the same as downgrading a ta-082 without changing idstorage? or does it change a different part of idstorage?

It only changes the usb idstorage keys, the console wont brick.
It doesn't change the IPL keys (which are responsible for bricking native TA-082 psps with 1.50 IPL) |
