Hi,
I thought my PSP was semi-bricked or totally bricked.
The thing is that I have tryed to follow the procedure for updating to firmware 3.03
It went to RECOVERY MODE and I have pressed on X
My PSP turned off and when I try to launch it again, the green light of the power turns on and turns off. There is no access to the MS as the relevant light is not turning on.
Any idea on how to reexecute the recovery mode or to remove myself from this ?
Please do not tell me that you can buy my PSP for x euros, I do not want to change it if possible.
Thanks for the precious help you could give me.

I did not take the time to read what was written on the recovery mode. Why the MS light is not working ?

Why do you need to read "what was written on the recovery mode"? If you do not know what the recovery mode does then you should not play around with it.
What have you changed in the recover mode? That would give us a clue on how we can help you.

First thing: You updated to 3.03 original fw, or OE? Then, how did u update?
On the recovery mode there are so many things to "not-touch" if you don't know how, such as flashing methods for vsh and xmb functions.

I think by what hes saying that he tried to update from 2.71 SE or 3.02 OE to the official 3.03?
I dont know, thats what I got from it.

I will not be surprised no matter what he did :D
It never surprise me how lazy and stupid people can be. "Hmmm lets try to upgrade without reading the readme.txt file" or "Ohhh look a menu named advance with a lot of Flashing functions. I just must try that"
If you are not sure why not ask before you do it?

If you pressed on X it's likely that you went into the Advanced menu and overwrote some critical 1.50 files, therefore breaking even recovery mode.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I know you can't break the recovery mode without replacing/corrupting the file on F0:/vsh/module/vshmain.prx w/c is the custom firmware recovery. And there's no option in recovery to replace it except ofcourse use a program that will replace it or formats the flash0 (e.g. 3.03 update).

OK
The PSP was on 2.71 using the official Sony update.
I have tryed to follow the procedure and I made a mistake. It is easy for you to make fun of me. I thought it was easy because I have downgrade a lot of PSP from 2.x to 1.5 but not using 3.03X
I do not have any idea on it how to resolve or to put a chip on it but it costs a lot.
I have tryed to launch my psp using R button but it did not worked fine.
