Some of the hypervisor exploiters have been putting in job applications at M$ lately...

I know that some of you will say that they deserve it for earlier work and whatnot ... Dont mean that I like them .. . . Good hackers work at companies unrelated to their hobby for daytime cash... At least in my book .

Since Im not a fan of tehskeen , I removed the link to the post . I dont want to give them hits.

What's wrong with them joining MS ? If they are skilled, why not go for it ? It is MS credits for hiring decent security engineers.
They had absolutely no obligation to share their first exploit to the public in the first place.
People wether they are dev or not should always be free to pursue the line of work they want, especially if they are enjoying it, the same goes for the companies they work with.

Good hackers also have privacy concerns and lives and they should not be dictated where they have to work. At least that's my personal opinion here. If Sony was to offer me a job with a decent payroll I wouldn't say no.

lol . Ooold topic :)

I had a bad day when i wrote that indeed ...

Still , I prefer hackers who do it mostly for fun and understanding over hackers who hack because they want to make a job out of it , simply because the person who mostly do it for fun has no hidden agenda and therefore ,in my experience , a more relaxed general outlook .

Anyhow , Im not telling people how to live , just making my futile recommendations . lol

Hackers are to register an agenda with you these days, then? Because I certainly don't recall anyone asking...

You do realize that some of the more proficient hackers are employed in the tech sector already, right? (or even in the process of getting the piece of paper from whatever institute to be so employed with a better job outlook.) That, in such a sector upgrading skills and seeking better employment is a matter of course... which generally means practice (the application of practical skills) is required; it's pretty great when one can have an enjoyable (as in mostly for fun) hobby that helps make you a more proficient worker who has more/better opportunities because of it - certainly better than taking years of classes and forgetting most everything that doesn't apply to your first job related to that education...

Of course ,as you say, hackers are employed in the tech sector , the tech sector likes people with knowledge and hackers usually have knowledge AND experience . Im just saying that from my personal experience people who hack as a hobby are usually more chilled out about their works . Maybe also because most of them are older engineers . The younger "in it for the fame" crowd is usually more uptight ,thats all :) Marcan in the wii scene for instance. Classic young twat with a uptight attitude ,while bushing in the same scene is a real nice guy (He is a bit older and more into it for the fun of it) . Im not saying its a rule . Just talking about my own experiences

I second this, everyone has the right to do what they want. I also have no problems with calling them Twats for leaving the scene. Just always remember there are always alterior motives, kids, sickness, etc. that might force someone to make that choice. STORY; I had a friend that worked for this company, when he quit there was meraculously a crack with his SN on it.

Yeah, I hate it when people who help me out for free move on to better things. As if they deserve the fruits of their labor more than I do. Greedy bastards need to remember their place.
